In Ireland’s capital city of Dublin, Riverdance made its live stage debut. Since then, it has traveled to more than 450 locations worldwide and been seen by more than 25 million people. Due in part to Michael Flatley’s choreography and stage presence, it is one of the most renowned dance productions in the world. I can still picture myself watching the program in my living room while trying to mimic the impossible dance moves while standing.

Jason Brown, a national champion figure skater, was surprised when his team asked him to skate to “Reel Around The Sun” from the Riverdance show while they were working on a new routine. However, the choice would quickly produce a fantastic outcome.
Everyone became entranced as soon as the music started, and Jason’s amazing skating prowess and perfect timekeeping of the song kept the audience enthralled.
Jason performed on an entirely different ice rink than the one the original Reiverdancers did, but he was still able to present his own interpretation of the Irish dance, which is breathtaking to watch.
While Jason is skating on the ice, the announcers can be heard praising his impeccable technique. The entire stadium rose to its feet when Jason finished his performance.
