Shaquille O’Neal has had a good life, no question about it. The basketball player has wisely chosen his investments and business ventures in addition to earning a lot of money while playing in the NBA.
He continues to receive the benefits of his labor today.
One of the richest athletes in the world is 49-year-old Shaq. He is very materialistic and lavishes money on himself and his family, but he also makes a point of giving to others. In fact, he has a reputation for kindness, and numerous instances of his good deeds have gone viral.
Every time Shaq left the house, he promised himself, he would carry out at least one good deed. It appears that he has been keeping his word.
Shaq recently helped a Texas family of 11 known as “The Collins Kids” on Instagram.
This was his most recent deed of kindness.
”.
The family’s mother, Karissa, discussed how Shaq had assisted them in an Instagram post on February 23.
The athlete unexpectedly visited the family last month and treated them to dinner at Babe’s Chicken.
Karissa, 36, wrote on Facebook and Instagram, “It was so much fun to just hang out and eat dinner with him.
Shaq, however, didn’t want it to end with a straightforward dinner. He took the family to a Mercedes-Benz dealership the following day, where he bought them a brand-new 15-person van.
This is such a wonderful blessing, said Karissa, who is expecting another child.
“He didn’t even know we were getting too big for our 12-passenger van, and the air conditioning wasn’t always the best,” she said. “We had to order and customize one because they didn’t have any in stock. July should see its arrival. ”.
Mandrae Collins, Facebook Karissa’s spouse, oversees a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Fort Worth. He was a member of the Harlem Globetrotters in the past.
After that, Shaq drove them to the Rainforest Café for dinner where, since he was unaware that they were out-of-state missionaries, he paid for another table’s entire meal.
When the basketball player learned that their waitress’s car had broken down that day, he generously left her a $1,000 tip.
Mandrae, a 38-year-old man, had a truck that had been operating for some time without heat or air conditioning. Although Shaq was unaware of this, he took the family to a Ford dealership where he helped the father purchase a new truck after seeing the car.
Shaq provided his family with more than just food and pricey presents. Additionally, he gave them things that were not consumable.
He also made time to uplift us, show love to our kids, and speak life into our family, according to Karissa.
“I’m at a loss for words.
”.
Karissa, a writer and owner of Rooted in Christ Boutique, was asked on Facebook how she met Shaq, and she replied that they met through Instagram.
Karissa described how Shaq first came into contact with them in a post from January 12th.
She wrote, “He reached out to me on Instagram a few months ago and sent my kids a video about how much he loved watching them and how they could call him Uncle Shaq.
Karissa agreed when Shaq said he would like to visit them sometime.
We’d love to hang out with him and get to know him, of course. “I watched him play baseball when I was a kid, and my kids love seeing him in all of his commercials and movies,” the woman remarked.
Shaq visited Karissa to wish her a happy birthday while he was in town. The once-in-a-lifetime occasion, in her words, was “surreal.”.
He entered and played Watch Your Mouth with the children. He showed us so much love, Karissa said, and loved on them, encouraged us as parents, amused them, took pictures with them, gave them gifts, etc.
Anthym and Anchor, two of Karissa’s young children, are reserved around strangers, she claimed. However, they quickly warmed to Shaq and asked him to hold them.
We should all attempt to help out in our own small ways, as Shaq’s efforts to better his community are truly inspiring.
